The family of Stanley Rosinski Sr. sadly said goodbye to him on Monday, December 26, 2011, two days before he would have celebrated his 65th Wedding Anniversary with his loving and devoted wife, Dorothy Boissonneault Rosinski. His family meant the world to him and he will be missed beyond words.
Stan was born on December 8, 1924, in Claremont, NH, and was predeceased by his parents, Joseph & Maria Rosinski and five brothers and one sister.
He is survived by his wife Dorothy Rosinski of Swanzey, NH, his children, Anthony Rosinski of Keene, NH, Marianne & Frank Sanders of Putney, VT, Michele & Richard Eaton of Duvall, WA, Charles Rosinski of Seattle, WA, Joseph Rosinski of Haines, Alaska, Sandra Rosinski & Joan Hudson of Fairview, NC, Catherine & Raymond Perry of Swanzey, NH and Stanley Rosinski Jr. of Margate, FL, as well as ten grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
After retiring from 30 years in the banking industry, he enjoyed spending time with his family and playing golf. He was a World War II veteran who proudly served in The Battle of The Bulge and earned both a Purple Heart and Silver Star. He once told his family that the Christmas holidays always brought back memories of friends made, friends lost, the cold fox holes, the sadness of war, but also the blessings of life.
He touched the lives of many people with his warm smile and generosity, and maintained his trademark sense of humor to the end.
There will be a celebration of his life on Friday, December 30, at 11:00 AM at St. Joseph’s Church in Claremont, NH, where he once served as an altar boy. His good friend, Rev. Father Stanley J. Piwowar will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate contributions to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, which was Stanley’s favorite charity.
