A-J Maranville Jr., born May 09, 1942 passed away at his home in Claremont, NH on October 1, 2025.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years Carolyn Maranville and 2 children. His son,  A-J Maranville III of Claremont and daughter Julie Maranville of Arlington, Ma.  As well as three grandchildren Dylan, Kendall and Crew whom he loved spending tjme with.

Born in Windsor, VT to A-J Maranville and May Baker later moving to Claremont, he attended Stevens High School an graduated in 1960.  He was active in the band, choir and orchestra and played many instruments.  He was a proud alumni member and looked forward to his class reunions.

He owned several businesses throughout his life which included several in Claremont, Crystal Pools, Toys and Stuff, Hobbies and Stuff and Valley Art Suppliers.  Hobby shops and art supply stores that expanded to several locations throughout New Hampshire over the course of 20 years.  He served on the Claremont City council and was active in the police department. He was a proud Mason and a member of the New Hampshire National Guard.

A-J loved spending time outdoors hunting and fishing all his life.  He went on countless hunting outings with his son and his sons friends and inherited the nickname "The General".  He spent endless hours on his sons property on any piece of farm machinery he could get his hand on, often time with his beloved lab, Jack.

Per his family's wishes there will be no service.   His immediate family will celebrate his life at a later date.
