Adam John Temple, 44, of Newport, New Hampshire, passed away on July 17, 2025, doing what he loved most, in a place that brought him peace and happiness.

Born in Claremont, NH, and raised in Newport, Adam was a spirited and adventurous soul with a deep love for the outdoors. From a young age, he fully embraced nature—hunting, fishing, diving, and exploring wherever his heart led him. He found joy in collecting antlers, rocks, and stories from his many adventures, especially at Pollard's Mills, a place that held a special place in his heart. He began diving at the age of 13 and never stopped seeking the thrill and beauty of the natural world.

Adam was a devoted father, a caring brother, and a loving son. He had a big heart and was always willing to lend a hand or offer support to his friends and loved ones. Known for his kindness, generosity, and free spirit, Adam made an impact on everyone he met. Some knew him as a legend, others as a protector—but all knew him as someone who lived fully and loved deeply.

He will be deeply missed by his children, family, and countless friends whose lives he touched with his warmth and passion.

Adam was predeceased by his grandparents, Curtis and Dorothy Temple, Lyle Richardson, and Marjorie Dyer; his father, Timothy Temple Sr.; and many beloved aunts and uncles.

He is survived by his parents, Terry and Charlie Westover; his children, Hunter Temple and Mykayla West, Kya Temple, and Joselyn Temple; his siblings, Timothy Temple Jr., Andrew and Julie Temple, Lori Flagg, Samuel Temple, CJ Westover and Dawn Barnette, Justin Westover and Lacey Fellows; his lifelong bros  Nathan, Chris, Jobane, Joe, and John; lifelong sistas Amy, Julene, Nicole, and Lorna; and a large circle of beloved aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends—and his boy, Buck.

Calling hours will be held from 5:00–7:00 p.m. on Friday, August 1, at Stringer Funeral Home, 146 Broad Street, Claremont, NH.

Adam's Celebration of Life will follow on Saturday, August 2 at 1:00 p.m., hosted by Andrew and Julie Temple at their home: 753 Hurd Pond Road, Unity, NH.

To help celebrate Adam's life, please come prepared with smiles, laughter, and stories to share. This will be a Potluck, B.Y.O.B., and please bring your own chair.

A gathering for Adam will be held at Pollard's Mills at a future date.
