Alan R. Raymond Sr., 72, of Springfield, VT passed away on August 16, 2022, at his home.

He was born in Claremont, NH on September 6, 1949, the son of Roy and Virginia (Clow) Raymond.

Alan had worked for Joy Manufacturing and Sturm Ruger. He enjoyed camping in Middlebury and loved to Hunt and Fish.

He is survived by his daughter, Merridee Sanborn of Springfield, VT; sons, Alan Raymond Jr and his wife, Jennie of Maine, Corey Raymond of Claremont, and Jason Raymond and his wife, Kristi of Hinsdale; daughter-in-law, Jennifer Raymond; 16 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; brothers, Roy Raymond Jr and Steve Raymond and his wife, Debra; sisters, Cathy Raymond, Bonnie Boardman and Linda Duquette and her husband, Gary all of Claremont; also, several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

His niece Melissa Raymond and his daughter Merridee were his caregivers.

He was predeceased by his wife, Theresa Jewell; his parents; his son, Jeremy Raymond; brother, Rodney Raymond; two granddaughters, Taylor Raymond and Kizmec Robbins and brother-in-law, Don Boardman.

Visiting hours will be held at Stringer Funeral Home in Claremont on Monday, August 22 ^nd from 5 to 7PM. A graveside service will be in Mountain View Cemetery on Tuesday morning at 11AM with Priscilla Hull officiating.
