Alexander J. Garrison Sr. 89, of 7 Heritage Dr.  Claremont, NH passed away October 14, 2025, at Jack Byrne Center for Palliative & Hospice Care in Lebanon, NH. He was born on July 21. 1936 in St. Albans, VT the son of Irene Garrison.  He worked at Darthmouth and Door Wollen Mills for most of his life until they closed then he drove taxi in Claremont about 7 years before he retired.

Alexander loved spending time with family and friends. He loved to bowl at Maple Lanes and Dicks Lanes for many years, loved doing puzzles with his friend, Kathy, going to bingo with his son, Alex Jr and his fiancé, Jena and grandson, Ethan. He was a very hard worker all of his life, working from a very young age of 10. He was a very stubborn man, that refused to seek medical treatment most of his life and when he wanted something done, it had to be done right then.

Alexander is predeceased by his loving wife, Lynne Garrison of 50 years, son, Scott Garrison Sr., daughter, Tracy Garrison, and grandson, Connor Garrison.

He is survived by daughters, Penny Whitcomb and her boyfriend, Greg, Donna Burns and Cheri Shatz, sons, Alex Burns and girlfriend, Tracey, Mark Garrison, Alex Garrison Jr with fiancé, Jena; son in-law, Chris and daughters-in-law, Victoria and Melissa.

Grandkids, Mathew, Ethan, Aysha, Acadia, Calliegh, Tiffany, Laura, Heather, Sarah, Ashley, Brendon, Kevin Jr., Zachary, Scottie Jr, Kristen, Josh, Alicia, Josh, Matt, Ethan, Dakota, Jeremiah, Chad, Bryce, Jennifer, Jackie, Corey, Josh, Nicko, Skye, Gunner, Devin and Ashley, Lia, Leticia. Great grandkids, Skye, Rylie, Kyler, Masyn, Jenna, Dylan, Jackson, McKenna, Jaden, Justyse, Harper, Jaelynn, and Ivory.

Brother-in-law, Donald Platt and his wife, Janet. Several nieces and nephews.  He is also survived by special friends, Kathy, Alice, Mike, and many more at Sugar River Mills.

There will be a graveside service on Saturday, October 25, 2025 at 11AM in Mountain View Cemetery, Main Street, Claremont, NH. All are welcome.  Later on, the family will do a celebration of life for Alexander Sr., his wife, Lynne, and daughter, Tracy all together.
