Allen H. Slack, 63, of Claremont, NH, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on November 15, 2024, at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH.

Born on February 24, 1961, in Claremont, NH. A dedicated and hardworking man, he spent many years working as a forklift operator. His strong work ethic was matched only by his love for the outdoors, his passion for sports, and his devotion to family and friends. Allen was known for his cheerful personality, his fondness for all things outdoors, and his unwavering support for his favorite sports teams. Whether watching NASCAR, cheering for the Celtics, Bears, or Bruins, or simply enjoying a day outdoors, Allen always had a smile on his face and a sports-related shirt or hat to match.

He was predeceased by his sisters, Susan Doran and Pamela Slack, and his parents, Cynthia and Howard Slack. Allen is survived by his significant other, Michelle Wright; his son, Matthew Lockwood, and his wife, Michelle Lockwood; his brother, Richard Slack; his bonus daughter, Amber Johnson; and his beloved grandchildren, Natasha and Cameron Lockwood, and Kaitlyn Stone. He was also a proud great-grandfather to Owen McFarland.

The family deeply appreciates the outpouring of love and support during this difficult time. They encourage all who knew Allen to celebrate his life by sharing memories, stories, and photographs. As a lifelong Boston Bruins fan, Allen would have loved to see everyone wearing their Bruins gear. Please feel free to wear your Boston Bruins apparel and/or colors to the services, if you have it.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Stringer Funeral Home and Crematorium, located at 146 Broad Street, Claremont, NH. A funeral service and celebration of life will follow at 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home, with a gathering afterward at 16 Fielding Place, Claremont, NH.
