Anne Shirley Ricker, 85, of Charlestown, NH died on Friday, October 6, 2023 at the home of her daughter, after battling a long illness.

Anne was born on June 16,1938 in Claremont, NH. It is here that she was raised and attended local schools. She then went on to attend Mount Ida College. Anne met and married Edward Ricker in 1960. As a military family, they lived in many different states, but settled down in Charlestown, NH in 1974 to raise their three children. During this time Anne opened and ran her own upholstery business. Anne's Upholstery and Antiques was a downtown staple and through it she brought new life to old furniture as well as taught her craft of sewing and upholstery to many. She also served many years as a volunteer EMT with the Charlestown Ambulance Service. As a 50+ year member of the VFW, she especially enjoyed her time playing Bingo with family and friends.

Anne's greatest joy was spending time with her family and the simple pleasures of life. She created lasting memories with them through her love of bowling, fishing on her boat, antiques, her collectible dolls, yard sales, reading, and spending time with family by her pool. Her beloved dogs were always a part of the fun.

Anne is survived by and will be deeply missed by her three children, Deborah Snide of North Springfield, VT., Robert Ricker and wife Kim of Champlin,MN, Dana Ricker and wife Lisa of Scarborough, ME., nine grandchildren Michael, April, Amanda, Conner, Hannah, Matthew, Abby, Natasha, Dylan and great-grandchildren Aden and Charley, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by mother Florence Roberts, father Henry Provencher and stepfather William Roberts.

A period of visitation will be held Friday, October 13th from 10 to 11am, followed by a service at 11:00, at The Charlestown Memorial Chapel, 34 Main St. Charlestown. Burial will follow at Hope Hill Cemetery. All are invited to join us afterward for a luncheon at the Charlestown, NH Senior Center, 223 Old Springfield Road.
