Anne Estelle Roy, 77, of Newport, NH, passed away on Friday, March 29, 2024, at the Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center.  She was born on December 4, 1946 in Berlin, NH, to the late Annie and Harry Vashaw.

Anne was a mother of seven children, David, Dennis, Donald, Debra, Tammie, Vinessa, and Jimmy.  She was a grandmother and great-grandmother.

Anne was known for being selfless, kind, and giving.  She was a hard worker. From working at the Recycling Center and Laundry Service to managing a restaurant business while caring for her children.

Anne cherished her time spent with family and friends.  She enjoyed playing bingo and other favorite pastimes were doing crossword puzzles and attending yard sales.

Anne is survived by her sisters, Louise Biron, Barbara LaFrance, Carol Ackerman, Cathy Sampson, Maryann Cummings, and Tammie LaPine.

She is predeceased by her parents, Annie and Harry Vashaw; siblings, Betty Cholette, Pauline Farris, Raymond Vashaw, Henry (Sonny) Vashaw, Dennis (Butch) Vashaw, and Harry Junior Vashaw.

Calling hours will be Tuesday, April 2, 2024 at Stringer Funeral Home, 146 Broad Street in Claremont, NH from 4 pm to 5pm with a service at 5pm.

Anne will be remembered for her hard work, love for her family and the impact she had on those around her.  She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
