Anthony J.Hodgman, born November 28,1947 to Wilbur C. Hodgman and Joan (Thomas) Hodgman in Newport NH, died peacefully February 23,2024 at home with his family by his side. Anthony "Tony" went to school in Claremont NH and graduated from Stevens High in 1967.  He was an army veteran who served in Germany from 1968-1970. Anthony married Sharon (Babineau) Hodgman in 1977. He worked in management most of his life at Giant Store, Big N, Fay's Drug Store, Claremont IGA and retired from Walmart in 2018 after years of loyal service to the company. Anthony loved his family, Wells Beach Maine, the Boston Red Sox, Boston Celtics and New England Patriots. He enjoyed gardening and family barbecues.  He was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church and an acolyte in his youth.

Anthony leaves behind his wife Sharon, son Ryan, and son Thomas and his wife, Samantha; brother Stephen Hodgman and wife Isabelle; sister Wendy and husband Fran Zombeck; sister Jessica and husband Craig Meade; sisters-in-law, Debbie Babineau, Carleen Thorpe, Susie Bevins and brother-in-law Stephen Babineau;  several nieces and nephews and grand nieces and a grand nephew— Mark Hodgman , Caitlin Hodgman Lisa Murray, Jeffrey Murray, Dylan Bladen, Molly (Bladen) Starcher; grand nieces Mackenzie, Autumn, Harper, Nora and Kasen; several cousins including John and David Rzucidlo, Bobby, Bruce and Judy Hodgman.

He was a beloved husband, devoted father, cherished brother, adored uncle, dear cousin and a fun grand uncle. Anthony touched the lives of all who knew him with his kindness, generosity and warmth. Though he may no longer walk among us, his spirit will live on in the hearts of all who know and love him. May his soul find eternal peace, and may his memory be a blessing to all.

Visiting hours will be at the Stringer Funeral Home, 146 Broad Street in Claremont, NH on Tuesday evening March 5th from 5 to 7PM. The burial will be held privately.
