Anthony (Tony) B. Rzeczycki Jr. died of natural causes September 23, 2022 at Valley Regional Hospital. He was born May 10, 1953 to Anthony and Lillian (Thomas) Rzeczycki who predeceased him. A younger brother, David died in an automobile accident in 1990. He is survived by a number of cousins.

Tony was a 1971 graduate of Stevens High School in Claremont, NH. He received a B.A. in English and History from Keene State College. As an undergraduate, Tony received the first Big Brother of the Year Award for the Monadnock Region for his work with a hearing-impaired boy. He later received his M.Ed. in Guidance Administration from Plymouth State University.

Tony embarked on a 25-year teaching career in NH and VT as a Social Studies teacher. Notably in Milford, NH, his favorite courses were American Government and World & National Affairs which featured Time magazine as its weekly textbook. Tony also served as teacher/chaperone on three student trips to the former Soviet Union and Scandinavian countries. He put together an extensive photo exhibit of the former Soviet Union which he proudly displayed in a variety of venues.

Tony was a compassionate teacher and often injected his classes with humor. He was active in inviting Presidential candidates to school while in Milford.

During the last five years, Tony attended church regularly at Life On Main Foursquare Church in Charlestown, NH. During this time, he did voluntary phone work within the congregation regarding needs and prayer requests.

Tony was always immensely grateful for friends, West Central Services, and his faith community that helped sustain him. One of his final achievements that he worked on for many years was an article entitled, "Opening Day 1975 – a Baseball Trilogy". He said it was finally finished just shortly before he died.

Tony was buried at St. Mary Cemetery alongside his family. A Celebration Of Life will be hosted by Life On Main Church at the Charlestown Senior Center, located at 223 Old Springfield Road, Charlestown, NH on November 6, 2022 at 11am. The public is welcomed to attend.
