Barbara Joyce Barrow, 93, of North Street in Claremont passed peacefully at her home with her niece, Ginny and two friends by her side.

She was born to George A. and Wanheta M. (Underwood) Picard on September 6, 1931, in Claremont, NH.  She was a lifelong resident of Claremont and lived a lot of her years with her sister and brother in-law, Robert and Virginia Gobin.  She worked for many years at Hampshire MFG in Claremont as a lead person.

She loved to drive to different places often visiting Boston, MA, so she could see her godson, Joseph Russo.  She also loved to go to Jacksonville, FL, where she moved for a few years to help her brother, Gerald.  She lived there until his passing August 16, 2022.  She came back to NH with her grandson, Joshua Sprague to live with her niece, Ginny West.  This is where she made incredible memories with incredible people.  She could make everyone smile and laugh.

She was predeceased by her parents, her brothers, Nelson A. Picard in 1966, Robert G. Picard in 1967, Gerald W. Picard in 2022 and her sister, Virginia M. Gobin in 2005, brother in-law, Robert Gobin in 2003, her nephew, John H. Gobin in 2018, and great nephew, Michael Kelley in 2006.

She is survived by her niece, Virginia West (Dale) and her family, nephews, John Kelley (Amanda), Charles Kelley and Amber Kelley, her godson, Joseph Russo and his family, her grandson, Joshua Sprague, her nieces, Janice Chastenay and Cheryl Gobin along with many other nieces, nephews and cousins.  She also leaves behind many amazing friends that loved her on the weekends and sometimes daily.  She leaves behind two special friends from Florida, Teri Sheffield and Stacy Achandinha.  She had special friends that would help her while her niece was at work, Shirley Sprague, Sherry Johnson, Stormy Lagasse, Betsy Erskine, Gloria Simoneau and Joellyn Stack.  She also leaves behind two long time dear friends, Rick and Susan Scruton.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary Church in Claremont, NH, at 11 AM on October 21, 2024.  Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery. A reception will be at the American Legion in Claremont at 12:30 PM.
