Obituary

Betty Ash Leatherberry, age 86, of Unity, New Hampshire, passed away on Tuesday, August 9, 2022, at Dartmouth Hitchcock Memorial Hospital.
Betty was born August 2, 1936, in Concord, New Hampshire, the youngest of 14 children born to Edgar and Blanche Ash. She moved to Holtville, California, with her older sister, Hazel
Reed and graduated from Holtville High School in 1956.
Betty was a loving mother to her six children. She enjoyed being a wife and was a devoted grandmother, great-grandmother and friend.
She is predeceased by her parents and siblings, her son, Stanley (Debbie) Hisel, her daughters, Tonia and Susan Hillborn, and her loving husband William Leatherberry. Betty is survived by her daughter Tammy (Andy) Bailey of Unity, and sons Scott Leatherberry of Claremont, and John (Tammy) Hisel of West Stewartstown. She was blessed with many grandchildren: Chris Childers of Lempster, Jodie Martin of Moore, South Carolina, Joe Nash of Newport, Morgan Leatherberry of Unity, John R. Hisel. of Newport, Melissa Mitchell of Newport, and Amanda Hisel of Lake Havasu Arizona. She also had several great-grandchildren.
Betty was an avid bargain shopper and loved yard sales, especially when accompanied by her dog and co-pilot Syncere.
Graveside services will be held at Four Corner Cemetery in Goshen, New Hampshire, on Saturday August 20, 2022, at 11:00 AM. Family and friends are welcome. A celebration of life will follow at the Unity Town Hall.
