Brian "Butch" Stanley Rivette, 82, passed away on January 27th, 2024, in his home, surrounded by his wife and daughter. He was born to Martin and Audrey Rivette in Port Henry, New York, on September 28th, 1941. Brian graduated from Colonie Central High School and then proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps. During his service, he became pen pals with Sandra and eventually relocated to New Hampshire to be with her. They shared nearly 60 years of marriage and two children, Kandi and Keith. Brian worked many years and retired from New England Bell Telephone Company (Verizon). He had many hobbies and interests, including woodworking, hunting, fishing, and HAM radio. He was most proud of his family and Native American heritage. He enjoyed attending various family celebrations, gatherings, and sporting events, as well as spending many summer weekends on Lake Champlain and many winters in Florida.

He was predeceased by his mother and father, his son, Keith Rivette, and his uncle, Leo Edmunds, with whom he shared a close bond. He is survived by his wife Sandra Rivette, his daughter Kandi White(Michael), grandchildren Josh Martell(Dani), Nikki Kurtzhalz(Kristian), and Kimberly White(Zac). He was fortunate to have spent a great deal of time with his great-grandchildren, Aebigail and Zane Martell, and Sterling and Nash Kurtzhalz. He is also survived by his siblings, Dawn Griffin, Ron, Joe, and Mike Rivette, all of whom he remained close with throughout the years, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.

He will be remembered as a hardworking and devoted family man, with a silly nature, who could and would make conversation with everyone. He had a generous heart and loved to share his wisdom. He will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege to know him.

Following his wishes, a military service will be held at Mountain View Cemetery in the Spring, with a date to be announced.
