Catalino "Steve" Cuadrado Jr. passed away suddenly at home on November 11, 2020, with his wife and son by his side. He was 70 years old, born in Caguas, Puerto Rico to Francisca Hernandez and Catalino Cuadrado. When he was two years old, his family moved to New York City. As a teen he became an Eagle Scout, played bass guitar in a band, loved music, and spent many hours reading at the New York Public Library.

Catalino worked his entire life in the telecommunications business, traveling all over the world. Once he and his wife retired, they bought a condo in Florida where they learned to play Pickleball, which became a shared passion. The greatest joys of his life were his children. He was a gentle giant who never said an unkind word about anyone, who loved to laugh, even at himself, and would give the shirt off his back to anyone who needed it.

He is pre-deceased by his mother and his sister, Maria Moreno.

Catalino is survived by his wife of 42 years, Ann (Sadonsky) Cuadrado, three children Sylvia Cuadrado and Celestina Cuadrado of Brooklyn, NY, and Catalino Cuadrado III, his son's wife Chong Zhang, three brothers Angel Cuadrado, Hector Cuadrado and Mario Moreno, several cousins, nieces and nephews.

There will be a brief service at Stringer Funeral Home at 2:00 pm on Monday, November 16, 2020, with a viewing one hour before the service. Burial will follow a St. Mary Cemetery. Mask wearing and social distancing will be required. No reception will follow at this time and a celebration of his life will be held in 2021 after COVID.    In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Stacey Abrams' organization Fair Fight 2020 at fairfight.com , a get-out-the-vote initiative.
