Catherine R. Tanguay, 81, formerly of Charlestown, NH passed away On June 19, 2024, in Windsor, VT.

She was born in Hardwick, VT on May 1, 1943, the daughter of Alfred and Beatrice (Meunier) Gaboriault.

She had worked as a Paraprofessional for the Fall Mountain School District for over 30 years.

Catherine enjoyed reading, playing games, walking, and visiting with family and friends.

She was a member of the Charlestown Garden Club and Senior Center.

She is survived by her son, Jim Tanguay and his wife, Lillian of Seattle, WA; her daughter, Susan Howard of Dry Ridge, KY; grandchildren, Kyle O'Brien and his wife, Stephanie, Hillary O'Malley and her husband, Alex and Adam Landry; great grandchildren, Owen O'Brien and Penelope O'Malley; brother, Marcel Gaboriault and sister, Anita Taylor; many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband, Gaston Tanguay whom she married in 1964 and he passed away in 2016; their daughter, Paulette Landry; brother, Raymond Gaboriault and sister, Lucy Crosby.

Visiting hours will be held at the Charlestown Memorial Chapel, 34 Main Street in Charlestown, NH on Monday, July 15th from 10-11AM. A prayer service will be at 11AM with Father John Loughnane. Interment will follow in Pine Crest Cemetery.
