With great sadness, we announce the passing of Claire M. Lawrence, of Claremont, NH on January 6, 2024.

She was born on December 6, 1935, to Alphonse and Fabiola (Thibodeau) Roy.

Claire was a lifelong resident of Claremont. She graduated from St. Mary's High School in the class of 1953 and married the love of her life. Leo Lawrence, Jr., on June 11, 1955.

Family was the utmost importance to Claire. The couple brought five wonderful children into the world. A devoted wife and mother, Claire chose to be a stay-at-home mom when her children were young and could often be found watching and supporting the local high school sports teams from the sidelines with Leo. When their children were older, Claire had worked at Dr. Bouchard's Optometrist office and Connecticut River Bank. In their later years, Claire and Leo enjoyed taking trips to the coast of Maine.

Claire is survived by her husband of 68 years, Leo Lawrence Jr.: her children, Stephen Lawrence and his wife, Dawn, Kathy (Lawrence) Tucker and her significant other, Timothy Banghart, Leo Lawrence III, Nicole (Lawrence) McKenzie and her significant other, Tyler Cole; grandchildren, Robin Lawrence and her husband, Chris, Danielle (Mayo) Skinner and her husband, Jeremy, Zachary Lawrence and his wife, Caryl, and Katelyn Mayo; eight great grandchildren, one great great grandson; her brother, Ronald Roy, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins, whom she dearly loved.

She was predeceased by her son, Gary Lawrence.

A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
