David Michael Butterworth, 63, of Unity, NH passed unexpectedly on September 23, 2022 at his home. He was born September 6, 1959 in East Derry NH, the son of George E. and Beverly A. (Boyle) Butterworth.

He married his high school sweetheart and love of his life, Patricia D. Carette and settled in Unity to raise their two children. David spent most of his career in underground utilities, primarily in natural gas distribution and pipelining.

David enjoyed the outdoors; hunting, fishing, BIG bonfires, moving earth with his "Big Toys" and spending time "Upta" camp. He was an avid snowmobiler, only the biggest and baddest machines would do. David also enjoyed Nascar races and attending concerts. He loved spending quality time with his family and friends, most of all his grandchildren.

David is survived by his wife Patricia D. (Carette) Butterworth. Their son Sean Butterworth and daughter-in-law Phylicia Farrar of Rockingham VT. Their daughter Jaimie (Butterworth) Martel and son-in-law Timothy of Claremont, NH. Three grandchildren Kaleb and Bailey Butterworth and Evelyn Martel. His parents George and Beverly (Boyle) Butterworth of Unity, NH. His brother Jeffery Butterworth of Derry, NH. His sister Kelly (Butterworth) Abbott and husband Wayne of Raymond, NH. As well as several nephews.

Calling hours for David will be held on Saturday, October 8 ^th from 3:00 pm until 5:00 pm at Stringer Funeral home in Claremont, NH. A Celebration of life will be held thereafter for family and close friends
