David F. Gokey, age 81, passed away at his home on January 1, 2023.

He was born on May 29, 1941, in Fitzwilliam, New Hampshire, to Margaret Whitcomb and Frederick Gokey.

David worked at Whitcomb Lobster Traps he was a self-employed logger and taxidermist. He was a member of the Forest Club and the Moose. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, dancing and four wheeling. He was an avid outdoorsman. He was well known within the community and will be greatly missed.

David is survived by his three children, Gail Cutts and her husband Paul, Tim Gokey and wife Jeannette, and David Gokey and his wife Tara; five grandchildren, Christopher "Dub" Lord, Jennifer Beliveau, Tim Gokey, Larissa Gokey and Breanna Craigue. He has three great grandchildren, Hudson Beliveau, Easton Beliveau and Arnold "AJ" Craigue III.  He is also survived by five siblings, Dottie Bennett, Doreen Burnell, Charleen Hastings, Denis Gokey, Dexter Gokey. He is predeceased by his wife, Sharon Gokey whom he married on July 7, 1962; two siblings, Diana Gokey and Donald Gokey.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the National Kidney Foundation.

A memorial service will be held at the Foresters in Newport, NH on February 4 ^th , 2023, at 2pm.
