Dennis John Palmer, 74, of Campton New Hampshire passed away on November 13, 2025 at The Hospice House in Concord. A celebration of life will take place next summer TBD.

Born in Claremont, New Hampshire on January 22, 1951, the youngest of 6 children, to his parents William and Blanche Palmer. Dennis graduated from Saint Mary's High School. He then served in the US Army, before starting his own painting, drywall, construction, and remodeling business. He retired from the Grand Canyon National Park Service in 2013 where he specialized in the preservation of historical buildings in multiple national parks. Dennis loved oil painting nature scenes, camping, hunting, and fishing, and cherished seeing his grandchildren.

Dennis is survived by his wife, Marilyn, his sons Shawn and Erik, his daughters-in-law Patricia and Coby, his grandchildren Céleste, Eden, Rayell, and Tristen, and his siblings Robert Palmer and Kathy Conant married to brother-in-law Roy.

Dennis will be remembered as a private man with a passion for the outdoors, dedication to his friends and family, a wild sense of humor, and for always rooting for the underdog.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to your local Hospice where Dennis volunteered for many years, or Saint Jude's. Because Dennis was a very private man, he requested no funeral.
