Dorothy Yvonne (Desharnais) Martell, 85, of Claremont, NH died on July 13, 2026, peacefully in her home surrounded by her family.

She was born in Tewksbury, MA to Real and Anna Desharnais on January 28, 1941.

Later made her home in Claremont, NH.

She was a stay-at-home mom until her youngest went to school and then went to work for Don’s market for many years. Later became a homemaker, as she loved helping people and everyone loved her.

She is survived by her daughter, Cynthia Welch and her son, Conrad Martell Jr and his wife, Shelley; one brother, Henry Desharnais; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She was pre-deceased by her husband, Conrad Martell Sr., three daughters, Linda Gilpatric, Constance Susee and Carol LaPlante; ten siblings, Isabelle, Teresa, Roger, Roland, Gertrude, Lucille, Richard, Real (Bob), Jeannette and Raymond and one grandson, Jonathan Glidden.

She loved spending time with her family, playing bingo, card games, and especially solitaire on her phone.  She had a gentle heart and touched many lives with her sweet nature.  She was known for her beautiful smile and will be truly missed.

Calling hours will be held at the Stringer Funeral Home on Saturday, July 18th from Noon to 1PM with a prayer service at 1PM. Burial will follow at St. Mary Cemetery.
