Edwin LaFave

Edwin LaFave age 64, passed away on August 24th, 2026. He died very peacefully after a brief illness at Peaceful Harvest Home, in Charlestown, NH . He had resided there for the last 8 ½ years and made lots of friends with the residents, staff and pets S’mores, Midnight and Salem.

Eddie was born in California to Edwin and Gertrude LaFave, he was predeceased by his parents and a half brother Theodore LaFave. Eddie is survived by his loving sister Ruth Hammond of Charlestown, NH who saw him almost daily and was there for him. Sister Shirley LaFave of Moses Lake, WA. Half Brother Edwin LaFave JR. of Charlestown, NH who reconnected with him and saw him often. Half sister Marie LaFave of Florida. Several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews who he adored. His friends Tony, Jeff and Gordon of Peaceful Harvest Home. They will all miss him a lot. The staff at Peaceful Harvest Home, especially the owner Jennifer Massicotte who knew him since Keene High School. His dear friends Kane and Heather Frazier and Steve and John Kuntz.

Eddie was very social and loved people. He held jobs in Keene, NH where he grew up. Eddie worked at Dunkin Donuts, Cheshire Medical and The Keene Sentinel. Eddie loved Country Music, politics, spending time with family and friends, swimming, apple and berry picking, loved all animals, fireworks, he loved all holidays, going to Spooky World enjoying the Halloween scary stuff and driving the go karts, and he really enjoyed the vacations that Peaceful Harvest Home took every year to North Conway, NH that included a boat ride, a train ride, Maine Wildlife Park and many more adventures.

A Memorial Service will be held on September 19th at 1pm at Peaceful Harvest Home in Charlestown, NH

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Peaceful Harvest Home Activity Fund Eddie never missed an activity, or The Monadnock Humane Society in Swanzey, NH as Eddie loved all animals.
