Elaine E. "Sissy" Brodeur, 70, passed away on May 1st in her beloved garden at her home in Claremont, New Hampshire. Born on November 6, 1954, in Hartland, Vermont, she was the daughter of Raymond and Velma Stearns.
A longtime resident of New Hampshire, Elaine moved to Claremont after marrying the love of her life, William Brodeur, on November 17th, 1973.  Together, they shared a passion for gardening, raising Corgis, and spending time outdoors—especially picking blueberries and tending to their gardens.
Elaine devoted over 40 years to nurturing children through her home daycare and later found joy in breeding her cherished Corgis alongside her husband. She was the proud owner of Corgiville Corgi's and had a deep love for perennial gardening, landscaping, quilting, and caring for others. Her legacy of kindness, creativity, and dedication lives on in the many lives she touched.
She is survived by her husband William and their seven children: Keith Brodeur of Newport, NH; Douglas Brodeur of Bedford, NH; Philip Brodeur of Newport, NH; Wayne Brodeur of Chicago, IL; Ryan Brodeur of Southwick, MA; Amber Brodeur of Fort Walton Beach, FL; and Nicole Brodeur of Denver, CO. She also leaves behind ten grandchildren: Kelsey, Marcus, Serena, Remington, Wyatt, Griffin, Violet, Addison, Mateo, and Diego.
In accordance with Elaine's wishes, a private family ceremony will be held. A public celebration of life will be planned at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in her memory to the Arbor Day Foundation to help restore suffering forests—planting trees as a living tribute to the life she loved so dearly.
