Frances C. Bourdon passed away peacefully in her sleep on July 8, 2024, at her Marco Island, Florida home.

Known affectionately as Frannie and Fran to many, she touched lives in both her native New Hampshire and her adopted Florida community.

Born on August 27, 1933, in Claremont, NH, Frances was the youngest daughter of Mary and Alexander Szyman, Polish immigrants who had courageously come to the United States via Ellis Island as teenagers. With a passion for learning, Frances graduated from Stevens High School in 1951 and went on to earn her degree from the University of Vermont (UVM) in 1955, accomplishments she always cherished.

Frances split her time between Claremont, NH and Marco Island, FL, where she and her husband Jack embraced life's joys and built lasting memories until his passing in 2017.

She leaves behind a legacy of love in her daughter Lisa Bourdon, son Tom Bourdon, daughter-in-law Brenda Bourdon, granddaughters Lauren Bourdon Wilson and Liza Bourdon, along with nieces and nephews.

To honor Frances's memory, the family will gather for a private celebration of her life at a later date. Those wishing to pay tribute may consider a donation to the Sullivan County Humane Society, reflecting her lifelong compassion and love for animals.

Frances will be deeply missed and warmly remembered for her gentle spirit and the love she shared with her family and friends.
