Freda Lois (LeClair) Jones, 95, passed away at Valley Regional Hospital on Wednesday, January 25, 2023 and will be sadly missed by her family and friends.

She was born on April 5, 1927 in Claremont, NH to George D. and Barbara (Harten) LeClair and graduated Stevens High School in 1946.  Growing up, she worked at Ideal Laundry and First National Grocery store.  She later worked at Goodyear Tire and Rubber in Windsor, VT for 40 years, retiring in 1987.

She enjoyed spending time with family, playing Bingo, picking blueberries, jigsaw puzzles, playing cards and her dogs.

She married Edward P. Jones in 1946 and was married to him for over 38 years until his death in 1985.

Her surviving family includes her daughter Jennifer Ayer of Cornish, son Edward P. (Spike) and Bonnie Jones of Cornish, son-in-law Richard Boutilier of Windsor, brother George D. LeClair Jr. of Tucson, AZ, sister Rosemary Clark of East Hartford, CT, six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.  She was predeceased by her daughter Anita Boutilier, grandson Paul E. Jones, son-in-law Donald Ayer, four brothers Bruce LeClair, Joseph LeClair, Fred LeClair, and Arthur LeClair and three sisters Theresa Patenaude, Thelma Fecteau, and Barbara Lillios.

The family wants to thank Valley Regional Hospital for making her last days comfortable and allowing family to gather to be by her side.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Cornish Fire Association or Cornish Rescue Squad.

The family will gather on Sunday, January 29 ^th from noon to 1PM with a service at 1PM at Stringer Funeral Home, 146 Broad Street in Claremont, NH to celebrate her life.  Burial will be in the spring at Comings Cemetery in Cornish, NH.
