Gary R. Grenier passed away peacefully on March 24, 2023 surrounded by his family. He was born on June 2, 1951 in Claremont NH, the son of Roger & Joyce (Bedore) Grenier. He grew up in Claremont, later married and moved to Charlestown where he spent the remainder of his years.

At the age of 16, Gary started learning his craft of butchery. He worked in numerous stores along the way and ultimately opened his own store in Charlestown, "Gary's Meats & Groceries".  A place that was known for its delicious meats, awesome penny candy and always a good story or two.  He spent the better part of three decades with Shaw's supermarkets where he worked until the end.

Gary loved antiques, bottle digging and scratching a winner.  He loved his family fiercely and enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchild and sisters. He relished his time in the outdoors, hunting and fishing through the years.

Gary is survived by his two children, daughter Erica Aubin, husband Austin and their son Liam and his son Trevin Kmiec-Grenier. He is also survived by his step daughter, Jamie Lake and husband Jared, and their children Logan, Ethan and Violet.  His three sisters, Joanne LeClair and her husband Jon, Mary Lizotte and her husband Tom Perkins, Brenda Paskerta and her husband Richard and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his wife Cynthia Grenier, the love of his life and his parents Roger & Joyce.

Visiting hours will be held Monday, March 27 ^th from 5 to 7 at the Stringer Funeral Home, 146 Broad Street, Claremont, NH.

A memorial service will be held at a later date and details will be shared by the family.
