Gloria D. Smith, 83 of Claremont, NH passed away peacefully on August 16, 2024, at Genesis Lebanon Center.

Gloria was born on July 8, 1941, in Claremont NH, the youngest daughter of Walter Frank and Rita Louise (Johnson) Williams.

Gloria graduated from Stevens High School, Claremont NH class of 1959 and married Russell F. Smith of Claremont that same year in July. Gloria worked for over 30 years at Valley Regional Hospital before her retirement.

In the summer, you could find Gloria camping at Crown Point Camping Area in Perkinsville, VT. where she spent many summers camping along side her beloved sister, Barbara Dupont and with her many seasonal camping friends. Gloria also loved doing a variety of crafts, as well as painting, crocheting, rug hooking and cake decorating.

Gloria is survived by her two daughters, Diane Preston (Smith) and Suzanne Hubbard and her husband, Todd. Her sister-in-law, Deidre Reynolds, Grandchildren, Rodney & Justin Devenger, Patrick Smith, Kristen Wilson, Damian & Robyn Jarvie and Megan Hubbard. 6 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She is predeceased by her parents, her husband – Russell F. Smith, Son – Michael R. Smith, sister – Barbara J. Dupont, and brother – Theodore F. Williams.

A graveside service will be held on September 7, 2024, at 11:00 am. Mountain View Cemetery Claremont NH. Section AA.

Memorials can be made in her memory to the American Diabetes Association or American Heart Association.
