Gordon Arthur Holmes, 95, passed on December 7, 2022. He was born in Claremont, NH on March 14, 1927, and served in the US Navy (1945-1946) during WWII. He received his bachelor's and master's degree in Electrical Engineering from Case Institute of Technology in Cleveland, OH; worked in aerospace technology at Goodyear Aircraft in Akron, OH; Lockheed in Marietta, GA; Martin Marietta in Orlando, FL and Electro-Mechanical Research (EMR) in Sarasota, FL. At EMR, he oversaw a group that developed the first orbiting astronomical observatory to collect ultraviolet data.

In 1964-1968, he researched the stock market and wrote "Capital Appreciation in the Stock Market" which was published in 1969 by Parker Publishing Co. The book opened new approaches still used today, such as the Stochastics, the Worden & Worden charts, and the use of logarithmic charts. From 1970 until his death, he was an investment advisor. He was happiest crunching numbers, charts, and data. He loved family and friends along with baseball, bridge, and fishing.

Gordon is survived by two sisters, a daughter-in-law, four grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren. Predeceasing him were his wife of 57 years, Emily Holmes; his twin sons Douglas and Gary; and Nancy Boyce his friend/partner for over 12 years after Emily's passing. Burial & graveside service will be in Claremont, NH.
