Grace Frances Johnson, 80, passed away peacefully on March 21, 2022.

She was born in Claremont, NH on April 20, 1941, the daughter of Olive K. and John D. Lovering. She married Charles W. Johnson on August 31, 1957.

Grace and Charlie owned and operated Johnson Distributing Co, Cott Quality Beverages/RC Cola in Newport, NH and Burlington, VT. Grace went on to establish Samantha's Finer Fashions in Claremont, NH. She also held positions at Christmas & Seasons/The Lang Store in West Lebanon, NH and MJ Harrington Jewelers in Newport, NH. Upon retiring to Florida, She and her sister Sue, opened Wee Grow'd, a children's consignment shop in Dade City, FL.

Although she liked her work, it was the people she met and the friendships that developed along the way that she loved most. She enjoyed shopping for anything, playing cards and summer trips to Maine. She cherished her family, friends, the Sewing Club girls, and her Pizza buddies. She will truly be missed by many.

She is survived by her sons, Charles W. Johnson Jr. of Newbury, NH, Douglas S. Johnson and his wife Tracy of Meriden, NH and her daughter, Vicki L. Landry and her husband Brian of Claremont, NH. Her sisters, Suzanne Knowlton and her husband Dale of Dade City, FL and Gloria Lovering and her husband Scott Thurber of Tampa, FL; granddaughter, Dr. Lauren M. Holden and her husband Matthew of Harrison, ME; grandsons, Nicholas J. Landry of Portland, ME, Joshua Johnson of Virginia Beach, VA and his mother Sherry Johnson of Claremont, NH, Tracy's daughter Alyssa Bunnell of Claremont, NH and her best friend for many years, Claire Dole of Claremont, NH.

Grace was predeceased by her parents, her husband, her brother, John D. Lovering and her grandson, Jeremiah S. Johnson.

A Celebration of the life will be held on Saturday May 7, 2022 from 1 to 5 PM at the Claremont Elk's Lodge, 54 Summer Street in Claremont, NH.  Please feel free to bring you memories or photographs to share.
