Gregg Allen Rich, age 60, of Cornish, NH, passed away on January 27, 2025, after a long battle with cancer, surrounded by his loving family.

Born on August 25th, 1964, in Park Ridge, Illinois, Gregg was the son of Grant Llewellyn Rich and Margaret Rich (Mascenic). Gregg was born outside of Chicago, then moved to New Jersey before settling in New Hampshire, where he found his home.

Gregg graduated from Cherry Hill High School, in New Jersey, and went on to pursue a degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management at Newbury College, in Massachusetts. With this degree, he assisted his parents in the running of the Pleasant Lake Inn, in New London, NH, which the family owned for fourteen years. However, Gregg found his passion in the art of growing gardens and tending to them. He loved growing and planting, working the land, and watching things bloom. Gregg was fortunate enough to work at a private residence in Vermont, tending and caring for the gardens there and expressing his natural love for 'creating live beauty' as he would say.

On May 16, 1999, Gregg married Kimberly Rich (Desrochers) on Trunk Bay beach in the U.S. Virgin Islands, where the two of them could celebrate their marriage by being surrounded by nature, just the two of them, with the sun on their shoulders, and sand beneath their feet.

Gregg was happiest when he was spending time with family - his wife Kim, their twin daughters, Hadley and Hannah; and their younger son, Liam.

Gregg found the most joy in having his hands in the dirt or his feet on the slopes. He made sure to share his hobbies with all his children, especially his love for skiing, so he taught his children how to ski at an early age so they could enjoy the sport together.

Following, his cancer diagnosis, he was determined to create as many memories with his family as possible. He prioritized traveling and family time to make as many lasting memories as possible. Traveling to places such as Mexico, Belize, Cape Cod, New York City, the Outer Banks, and many more.

Gregg is survived by his wife Kimberly Rich of 25 years, and his three children; Hadley, Hannah, and Liam. His father Grant Rich; sister Gayle Irick; sister-in-laws Nancy Rich, Karen Desorchers, Kristine Desorchers; brother-in-laws Kevin Desorchers and Sean Carpenter; and nieces and nephews Rebecca Russell, Emily Irick, Grant Rich, Lauren Scaramella, Lindsey Poulin, Angel Desrochers, Shawn Birtholet, Alivia Arrey-mbi, Gwen Carpenter, and Shae Carpenter.

He is preceded by his mother Margaret Rich, brothers Grant and Glenn Rich, and nephew Justin Irick.

His celebration of life will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2025, from 1 pm to 4 pm, at the Common Man in Claremont, New Hampshire.
