Harold A. Roberts Sr., 83, of Goshen, NH, passed away at his home, Friday, March 15, 2024, surrounded by the love of his life, his wife of 42 years, Roberta, and all his cherished family.

He was born April 5, 1940, in Hartford, VT, to parents Julius and Estella Roberts.

Harold is survived by his wife, Roberta, son, Mark Hayward and wife, Tina of Unity, NH, daughter, Robin Hemingway and husband, Raymond of Goshen, NH; grandchildren, Candy Ploss and husband, Steve, Jesse Hemingway and wife, Ryann, Katie Stone and husband, Jason, Lacee Lounder and fiancé, Josh; great grandchildren, Bella, Elliot, Aiden, Sadie, Christopher, Charlotte, and Riley and many nieces, nephews, close family and friends.

Harold's greatest joy was spending time with his family, creating lasting memories.  There isn't a person that Harold spoke to that didn't know about his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.  He glistened with happiness being "Grampy".  He always made sure they were taken care of, happy and most importantly loved.

He was a humble and loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle and friend.  Harold had a talent and passion for writing and illustrating books, his favorite was "My Favorite Poems" from my heart to you, even though his great grandchildren's favorite is the book he just finished writing and illustrating for them "Meet the Ossa-Wa-Doodles".  He loved playing guitar, singing, driving his tractor, fishing and Texas Hold 'Em.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to VT Bayada Hospice and Jeannie.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude's Hospital or VT Bayada Hospice.

Per his wishes, there will be no calling hours or services.

A handwritten note on a piece of scrap paper found in his drawer…  "Now I lay me down to rest, I pray the Lord I've done my best, to make at least one person smile, then I'll know my day has been worthwhile."
