Helenmarie (Peterson) Hall, of Sunapee, NH, died peacefully on May 13, 2024 at the age of 97. She grew up in Auburn, MA, where she met and married her lifelong partner, E. Curtis Hall Jr. in 1948. They had 72 years together before his death in 2020. She liked to tell people about his first proposal to her when they were 12 years old on a school field trip. She is a graduate of Green Mountain College. She loved spending time with family, hosting parties at her home, travelling, working around her house and yard, knitting, sewing and reading. She is survived by her sister Claire Leach, son, E. Curtis Hall III, his wife, Pamela and their 2 children Dylan and Nathan, her daughter Judy Anne and her fiancé Stephen Parsons, grandchildren Erin Cote, Ryan Hall, Elizabeth King, as well as 10 great grand-children and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her son R Keith Hall, her parents Sigurd Robert Peterson and Alice (McMenemy) Peterson, her brothers Sigurd R Peterson, and Gerald Peterson. Calling hours will be held at Stringer Funeral Home, 146 Broad St, Claremont, NH 03743, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Wednesday May 22, 2024. A Funeral Mass will be held at St Patrick Catholic Church, 32 Beech St, Newport, NH at 11:00 AM on May 23, 2024, followed by a burial at Sunny Plain Cemetery, 196 Old Warner Rd, Bradford, NH
