Henry "Joe" Belanger, 95, of Claremont, NH died Tuesday December 5, 2023 peacefully at his home.

He was born in Berlin, NH on April 5, 1928, the son of Pierre and Lucy (LeClair) Belanger and has resided in Claremont most of his life.

He worked for Jones & Lamson Machine Company for thirty-seven years and later worked for LaValley's for four years and retired in 1991.

He is a member of the Knights of Columbus.

He loved fishing, traveling with his RV, doing odd jobs with his friends and family, being at Crescent Lake and most of all spending time with his family.

He married Cecile T. (Fleury) Belanger on August 14, 1948 and she passed away on December 22, 2016.

The surviving family includes two sons, Peter E. Belanger of Unity, Michael G. Belanger of Claremont; one daughter, Mary A. Jeffrey and her husband Doug of Unity, one brother, Paul Belanger of Oklahoma; four grandchildren, Tawna Boardman and her husband Brian of Unity; Matt Belanger and Julie and their children Mason and Matthew of Unity; Lyndee Beisel and her husband Andrew and their son Merrick of Ohio and Brian Blaisdell of Claremont. Also several nieces & nephews.

He was pre-deceased by a daughter, Janet Blaisdell and his brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be celebrated for both Henry and Cecile.

Calling hours will be at the Stringer Funeral Home, Claremont, Tuesday, December 19, 2023, from 5-7pm.  A funeral service will be held at the funeral home, on Wednesday, December 20, 2023, at 11am. Burial will follow at St. Mary Cemetery.
