Herman Steven Clark passed peacefully away on February 23rd, 2026, at the age of 80, surrounded by family. He is predeceased by his parents, Herman and Myrtle (Merrill) Clark, and his two sisters, Nancy and Gail, and is survived by his wife, Nancy (Reinhart) Clark, and his four children, Jesse (Will-adopted son), Celia(Cintra), Eric (Stephanne), and Hank (Rebecca), seven grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Steven graduated from Charlestown High School in 1965. After working for various local businesses, he found his passion in sawmilling and logging with horses - an occupation that reflected both his skill and his respect for the land.
He was actively involved in his community, serving as a leader in 4-H Forestry, as a director of the Cornish Fair, and as a regular vendor at local farmers' markets. He especially enjoyed machinery auctions as a place to socialize, build connections, and spend time around well-used and well-loved farm equipment.
Above all, Steven loved his family. Time spent together brought him great joy, and his pride in them was evident to all who knew him.
There will be no visiting hours. A Celebration of Life will be held later in the year, with details to be announced.
