James "Jim" Mentillo Jr., 79, of Claremont, New Hampshire, passed away peacefully on December 31, 2025, at Concord Hospital. He was born on May 12, 1946, in New Haven, Connecticut, to James and Mary Mentillo.

James was a devoted husband and father, a proud U.S. Marine, and a dedicated member of his community, serving on the Board of Commissioners for the Claremont Housing Authority. He loved the outdoors, was known for sense of humor, and brought laughter and warmth to those around him.

He is survived by his wife, Linda; siblings, Roseanne and Joseph; sons, Anthony and James; daughters, Lisa and Roseanne; many grandchildren; and a wide circle of friends who will miss him dearly.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
