James Henry Smith passed away on June 26, 2022, at Valley Regional Hospital.

James was born on October 29, 1955, in Claremont, New Hampshire.

James is survived by his mother, Geraldine Clow-Smith-Economou, stepfather Melvin Economou, two sisters, Linda Johnson and husband Philip of Sunapee, Elaine Starcher and husband Chris of Goshen, a brother, Donald Economou of Newport and nieces and nephews.

When he was young, he participated in Special Olympics. He loved bowling.  He lived in Indiana before moving home to New Hampshire.

Before moving he had a job working at Mount Sunapee as a short order cook in the winter season.

He liked living at Pearl Street Apartments where he liked the people and played bingo.

Visiting hours will be held at Stringer Funeral Home in Claremont on Friday, July 22 ^nd from 1 to 2PM. A memorial service will be at 2PM. Burial will follow in Mountain View Cemetery.
