Jane Ann LaFountain passed away peacefully in her sleep on the morning of March 2nd, 2026 at the age of 69. Jane was born and raised in Claremont, NH and was a 1975 graduate of Stevens High School. After graduating, she moved to Florida for a few years before returning back to Claremont where she would eventually meet her husband Joe and dedicate her life to raising their 3 children. She spent the majority of her life working at and managing multiple local Jiffy Marts' as well as Circle K in Grantham. Family was her first love as well as spending time with her dog Mollie. She enjoyed spending time at home with her husband watching their favorite programs as well as frequent road trips out and about locally.

Jane is preceded in death by her parents William and Mary Markowski, as well as her sister, Theresa. She is survived by her loving husband of 39 years, Joseph, as well as 3 children. Ashley Poland and her husband Chris, of Burlington, VT. Jennifer Daignault and husband Chris of Claremont NH, and son Joseph of Claremont.

Visiting hours will be held Friday, March 6th from 5 to 7pm at the Stringer Funeral Home, 146 Broad Street, Claremont, NH.

Burial will be held privately at St. Mary Cemetery.
