Jean C. Bates 86, of Charlestown N.H. passed away peacefully on July 12, 2024 after an unexpected illness.

She is survived by her three children: two daughters, Pamela (Bates) Underwood and Maria (Bates) Boudreau and one son, Arthur Bates. Jean also has three grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

She enjoyed country music, playing guitars, gardening, and gathering with family and friends. In her earlier years she enjoyed playing softball and volleyball. She worked at the Fall Mountain school cafeteria as a lunch lady and then later went to work at Whelen Engineering Company which she retired from.

At Jeans request, there will be a private family only burial at a later date.
