Jeffrey Allen Thibodeau, Sr.  passed away the afternoon of November 19, 2025, with his son, Jeffrey, and daughter-in-law, Chantel, at his bedside following a battle with bladder cancer.  Jeffrey was born in Claremont on August 29, 1942.  He grew up in Cornish, NH.  He joins his wife, Phyllis, who passed in 2008; his daughter, Wendy, who passed in 2014 and his daughter, Dina, who passed in 2021.

Brought up on the family homestead in Cornish, Jeffrey left home and joined the Air Force.   After his military service he worked for various companies as a machinist in Claremont, NH and then on to Hartford, CT.  He married Phyllis Gibson in 1967 and soon after started a family, eventually settling down in Claremont. They lived for a time in Unity where he enjoyed country living and spending time at Crescent Lake.

Jeffrey loved his family and his country.  He was particularly fond of Patsy Cline, loved watching any western, playing bingo and collecting coins.  He never passed up a plate of spaghetti and meatballs followed by a few eclairs.  He was a quiet sort of man and lived his life in the same manner.  He had a twinkle in his eye and some of the corniest jokes in the world.  He will be missed.

Jeffrey is survived by his ever loving and faithful son, Jeffrey, his daughter-in-law, Chantel, his sons-in-law, Keith Mudge and Allan Parshall, his granddaughters, Nichole, Autumn and Emily, his grandsons, Lucas and Ritchie, seven great grandchildren, as well as his brothers James (Lynn) of Peterborough, NH; William of Claremore, OK; sisters Elaine and Eileen of Danville, VA; Brenda of Lebanon, NH; and Laura (Alfred) of Sullivan, NH, along with a multitude of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  Jeffrey is predeceased by his parents, William and Mary Thibodeau, his brothers John and David and his biological father, Ralph Lurvey.

Calling hours will be held at Stringer Funeral Home 146 Broad St, Claremont, NH, on Friday, December 5, 2025 from 9:30 to 10:30 AM, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM, at St. Josephs Catholic Church 58 Elm Street, Claremont NH.  Light refreshments will be served in the lower level of the church following committal.
