Jennifer Ann "Jen" Nelson (nee Mayo) passed away on March 27, 2024, in Claremont, NH, at the age of 50. She was born on July 19, 1973, in Boston, MA.
Jen was a very caring person, always putting others before herself.
She is survived by her daughter Cassie Howlett, father Walter Mayo, brothers Michael and Jonathan Mayo, sisters Danielle Mayo and Lisa Cohen.
Jen was preceded in death by her grandfather Eugene Mayo, grandmother Anna Mayo, grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Reed Myers, and mother B. Jean Mayo.
Jen's love for animals shone through her career as she dedicated her life to working at various pet stores and shelters. Her hobbies included advocating for animal rights, as well as indulging in art and music. In her free time she loved taking photographs outside. Jen enjoyed watching the Boston Red Sox for most of her adult life. She was very crafty and expressed herself through diamond painting, writing, coloring, and scrapbooking. Jen especially loved spending time with her daughter and granddog.
Jennifer's educational journey started at Conant Elementary School in Concord, NH, and she later graduated from Sunapee High School in Sunapee, NH.
Her kind and compassionate nature touched the lives of many, and she will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
