Joanne Marie Peoples passed away peacefully on September 23, 2026 surrounded by her loving family, almost a year to the day after the passing of her husband, Bill Peoples, with whom she built a wonderful life. Married on May 25, 1980, Joanne and Bill spent their 45 years together traveling near and far. From the faraway islands to Hampton Beach, they created cherished memories with their children and grandchildren, building a family on a foundation of grace and love. Joanne’s grace and love were most abundant and apparent in the lives of her children and grandchildren.

Joanne’s career included 7 years at Claremont Savings Bank and many after that at Whalen Industries, where she cherished many new friendships and took pride in the work she did. When she wasn’t with her family or at work, Joanne spent her time keeping a meticulous flower garden and working in her yard.

Joanne is survived by her children, Koreen (Jake), Kenneth (Rosie), and James; her sister, Wendy; her grandchildren, Brooke, Ashley, Ryan, Molly, Zachary, and Haley; and several great grandchildren. The foundation of love and grace built by such a wonderful woman will be carried on for generations to come.

Visiting hours will be Saturday, October 24th at the Stringer Funeral Home, 146 broad Street in Claremont, NH from 1 to 2pm with a funeral service at 2pm. A celebration of life will follow at the Elk’s Lodge in Claremont.
