Judith Ann King, 72, passed away peacefully July 13, 2026 after being diagnosed with stomach cancer in August of 2025. She was born in Bellows Falls, Vermont to the late George and Celia (Fidelski) Stoodley.

Judy graduated from Bellows Falls Vermont High School. After graduation she attended Thompson Nursing School, Brattleboro, VT and earned an LPN before practicing at Springfield Hospital in Springfield,Vermont. She then earned an RN degree from the State University of New York. She was a Nurse at Dartmouth Hitchcock Hospital for many years and eventually retired as a school nurse in Claremont, New Hampshire.

On April 26, 1997 she married Dr. Stephen Clark King in York, Maine.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents George and Celia Stoodley, and brothers Tom Stoodley and Bernard Stoodley.

Judy is survived by her husband Stephen, Reelsville, IN, two children, Matthew Pixley (Dennise) Alaska, and Rebecca Nareau (Jay) Cavendish, VT, a sister, Jane Pixley (Howard), Cavendish, VT. along with a brother, Bob (Sue) Bellows Falls, VT, and sister-in-law Susan King Boes (Ed), Lafayette, IN. She is also survived by many nieces, and nephews along with her best friends, Judy Smith, Bellow Falls, VT and Roxanne Bailey, Charlestown, NH and Katie Wood, Greencastle, IN.

Per Judy’s wishes, cremation will take place.

Celebrations of Life will be held at St. Johns Church in Centerpoint, IN and in Vermont on later dates.
