Larry A. Meyette Sr., age 72, of Claremont, New Hampshire, passed away on Jan 10, 2024, peacefully at his home, after a long illness. Larry was born in Lebanon, New Hampshire, on August 21, 1951, to the late David and Maxine Meyette. Larry was predeceased by his parents, David R. Meyette, Maxine J. Meyette; brothers, David, and Steven Meyette, a sister Vickie Judkins, 1 niece, 3 nephews, and 1 granddaughter. Larry was survived by his daughter Trixie Whitaker (and husband Scott ) of Newport NH, son Timothy Meyette (and wife Robyn) of Goshen NH, daughter Loretta Labrecque (and husband Dennis) of Ludlow VT, son Larry Meyette Jr. (and wife Belinda) of West Windsor VT, daughter Francine Meyette (and Jack Partlow) of Charlestown NH, son Christopher Meyette (and Kari Smith) of Claremont NH, 21 grandkids and 15 Great grandkids Larry grew up in Claremont and went to Stevens High School. He drove commercial trucks starting with Coca Cola, Pepsi, Adkins, RSD, Craig Schwann Trucking, Beaudry, Rossi, he started his own trucking business L&L Transport, and then Jewels from which he retired. Somewhere in between trucking Larry also took a job doing carpentry. Larry's passion was playing with wood, making different things and really getting into detail. He made many things with wood from small trinket items to a big Jeep that the grandkids could ride in, and he would pull them around with a riding lawn mower. He loved music and started up another business (part time) doing DJ work going by the name "Silver Disc DJ's". Larry was always joking around but enjoyed other things in life like camping, playing guitar, building model cars, 4 wheeling, mechanic work, cooking, and he really enjoyed company. Larry will be missed by all his friends and family. Larry was cremated and there are no calling hours.
