Lawrence "Pete" Blish passed away peacefully on Sunday morning January 28th with his wife and son by his side. He is survived by his Loving wife Irmgard Segiele Blish of almost 63 years, Son Herbert L. Blish, Grandson Nicholas H. Blish and wife Megan Blish, Great Grandson Lucas G. Blish, his sisters Barbara Cummings and Linda Monroe. He was predeceased by his Daughter Britta Ly Blish, parents Albert and Marion Blish and sisters Martha Goodell and Marylou Sanborn-Blish.

Pete was a US Army Veteran, proud supporter of the Boy Scouts of America where he received numerous awards including the Silver Beaver Award for Distinguished Service to Youth and an active member of the United Methodist Church in North Charlestown.

He worked the majority of his working life for Arthur Whitcomb, Inc. where he started out driving Cement Mixer, then batch man/assistant Manager and eventually becoming Plant Manager for many years before retiring.  He worked several other jobs after that to which he referred to as "part-time" but still putting in 40+ hours.

Growing up near and working on farms, he loved and worked with animals but had a special love for dogs and also enjoyed family camping which he was a seasonal camper for many years at a nearby campground.

He was always there with a helping hand when needed, a word of encouragement or a smile to make things better.  He will be missed by more than he could ever realize.

Visiting hours will be held at the Stringer's Funeral Home 146 Broad Street in Claremont, NH on Saturday, February 3rd from 1 to 2pm with a service at 2pm.  Burial will be in the spring at the Hope Hill Cemetery in North Charlestown.
