Leonard S. Smith, of Claremont, NH passed away on August 2, 2026.

He was born in Hanover, NH on May 1, 1945, the son of Samuel and Clara Smith.

Len worked for many years at Sunoco and later at Sullivan Machine.

He is survived by his wife, Beverly Smith; his four children, Scott L. Smith and his wife, Caral and their children, Melissa Washer and her husband, Ken and their children, Shawn Smith and his wife, Michelle and their children, and Nathan Emerson and his wife, Christy and Len’s play mates, Seth and Emily; and many cousins.

Len had been ill for the last couple of years.

Visiting hours will be held at Stringer Funeral Home, 146 Broad Street, Claremont on Wednesday, August 12th from 10AM to 11AM. Funeral service will be at 11AM with Pastor Joe Gnatek. Burial with military honors will follow in West Claremont Burying Ground.
