Liane Westcott of Claremont, NH died Thursday, January 14th at her daughter and son-in-law's home in West Berlin, VT, after a brief battle with pancreatic cancer under the care of Central Vermont Home Health and Hospice.

She was born in Claremont, New Hampshire Dec. 24, 1954, the oldest child and daughter of Mary and George Oliver, also of Claremont. She graduated from Stevens High School and married Robert Von Baltzer and then had the opportunity to live in Germany and Louisiana for a short period of time before returning to Claremont.  After getting divorced from her first husband, she married her second husband Brett Westcott and adopted his daughter Shelly-Ann Westcott.

She worked at a variety of businesses.  She felt most at home working at Claremont Pet and Aquarium, where she could often be seen working in the bird room.   She was a true animal lover and especially loved birds.

She enjoyed reading, watching classic black + white movies and visiting with family whom she loved dearly.

She is survived by her daughter Heidi Collier and her husband Henry of West Berlin VT, her son Adam Von Baltzer and his wife Christina of Lebanon, her two sisters Joyce Eaton and husband Rick of Newport, Carolyn Faucher and husband George of Newport, and her brother Jeffrey Oliver and his wife Wendy of Canaan;  her three grandchildren Alexandra and Marshall Collier, and Quinn Von Baltzer and several nieces and nephews and even some great-nieces and nephews.

She was pre-deceased by her mother and father, her infant sister Judith Oliver, her brother William Oliver and her adopted daughter Shelly-Ann Westcott.

There will not a public service. Her family will be conducting a private service later in the year.
