Lucille Irene Viens, age 88, passed away after a brief illness on December 30, 2022, at Valley Regional Hospital. Lucille was born the youngest of twelve children on April 17 ^th , 1934, in Jay, Vermont to Delphis and Rose Fortin Bacon.

Lucille moved to Claremont, NH with her parents and graduated from St. Mary's High School. Lucille married Norman Viens on February 11 ^th , 1956 and were together until he passed in 1996. She worked at various local manufacturing operations and retired following years of service at Valley Regional Hospital.

Later in life Lucille spent years with her special friend Ted Monetta exploring on day trips, dining, and spending several winters in Naples FL. They enjoyed each other's company very much. Lucille also enjoyed gardening, reading, New England sport teams, and her many friends.

Lucille was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and is survived by her three sons, David Viens and his partner Lori Courtemanche of Claremont, Daniel Viens and his wife Tracie Viens of Claremont, and Rodney Viens and his partner Kelli Pippin of Columbia, MD, three grandchildren, Brandon Viens and his wife Leanne, Krista Viens and Jamie Viens. Lucille also cherished her three great grandchildren, Chandler, Mason, & Lacey. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews and was predeceased by eleven siblings.

A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday January 7 ^th at St. Mary's Church. Internment to follow at St. Mary's Cemetery. A celebration of life following at The Common Man Restaurant. The family suggests that, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the Frances J.
