Lyle Howe, 66 of Claremont died peacefully after a battle with declining health with his family by his side at the Jack Byrne Center in Hanover NH on Thursday August 11 ^th .

Lyle was born November 23,1955 in Claremont son of Donald Sr and Arlene (Rumrill) Howe.

Lyle married the love of his life, his best friend Bonnie (Jones) in September of 1978. Together they had 2 children Jesse and Jamie-Lyn whom he was incredibly proud of. He was blessed again when Jesse married Jamie Morin, as he gained another daughter.

Lyle started his career at Golden Cross Ambulance in 1975. He worked for 3 owners during this time: Larry Stickney, Dick Girard and Dale Girard. He devoted his life to his role as a first responder and EMT-I, and cherished the friendships he made throughout his career.

His sense of humor and quick wit were unmatched, and he loved a good prank as long as it wasn't at his expense.

He was incredibly proud of his family, and nothing made him prouder than when Jesse made him Papa to 3 grandchildren Aubree Howe 15, Josh Howe 14, and his BFF Drew Howe 10. He enjoyed being their biggest fan at their sports games, taking them on lunch dates and telling them jokes.

In his free time, Lyle enjoyed playing cribbage with his good friend Buck Miller, and the rest of the crew and often bragged about skunking them or his 29 hand. He was also grateful for his long time friend Bob Davis.

Lyle was predeceased by his parents Donald Sr and Arlene as well as a brother Donald Jr. He is survived by his siblings: Cheryl (Billy) Buchanan, Sheila (Paul) Jackson, Almont Howe, Dale (Dick) Odette, Ethel Howe, Mark (Melissa) Howe.

Calling hours will be at Stringer Funeral Home in Claremont NH on Friday August 19 ^th from 4-6pm immediately followed by a time of remembrance in which his family hopes that many stories and laughter will be shared. A celebration of life will be held at a later date, to be announced by the family.

Bonnie, Jesse and Jamie-Lyn wish to send a very special thank you to everyone at the beautiful Jack Byrne Center for their compassion and care during Lyle's final days. Especially his nurses Jess and Tim who took amazing care of him and even shared some laughs with us all.
