Marcellene "Marcie" Landry, 85, of Claremont NH passed away on June 5, 2024 at Mt. Ascutney Hospital.

Marcie was born in Henniker, NH on November 2, 1938 to Margaret and Oliver Parker.  She was one of eleven children.  After the death of her father at age 10, Marcie went to live with her sister Mary (Hicks) in Concord NH where the five Hicks children grew to be more like siblings than nephews and nieces. After graduating from Concord High School in 1956, she studied X-ray technology at Concord Hospital and went on to work at Claremont Hospital.

In 1958, Marcie met Bob Landry on a blind date and they married on September 25, 1959.

Marcie was a loving wife, devoted homemaker, and selfless mother whose family was her number one priority.  She is remembered for her kindness, caring, and unwavering love.  She was the kind of mother that we all strive to be.  Marcie was an incredibly strong woman who modeled tenacity and the ability to deal with adversity quietly and humbly.

Marcie was dedicated to Bob and supported him in every way as he pursued a successful,  demanding career with Electrolux.   They enjoyed a full life highlighted by world travel and gatherings with friends and family. Marcie particularly enjoyed summers at their cottage on Lake Winnisquam.  In their younger years, Marcie and Bob loved to water ski with Marcie remembered for fearlessly standing atop a pyramid of skiers as they entertained watchers.

Throughout most of her life, Marcie volunteered for many organizations including the Ladies Union Aide Society and Claremont Hospital Auxiliary.  Completely unlike her, she enjoyed dancing in several Cardiac Capers shows.

Marcie was predeceased by her parents Margaret and Oliver Parker, her stepfather Earl Rogers, siblings Cliff Parker, Bill Parker, Burton Parker, Jim Parker, Peg Rice, Mary Hicks, Christie Petrin, Gregory Parker, Florence Parker, and her infant children, Robert and Kimberly Landry.

She is survived by her husband Robert Landry, daughters Shari Landry and husband, David Sears, Beth Landry-Murphy and husband, Tim Murphy and Debra (Landry)MacAskill and husband, Donald.  She also leaves her beloved grandchildren Sammie Lyons, Robbie Lyons, Chantale Lyons, Venise Lyons, Parker Landry-Murphy, Westley Landry-Murphy, Micah MacAskill, Kayla MacAskill, and great-grandchildren Judah MacAskill and Anje Lyons.  Marcie also leaves behind her youngest brother, Ethan Parker and a large extended family.

In place of flowers, the family requests that donations to your favorite charity be made in Marcie's name.  Calling hours will be at Stringer Funeral Home, 146 Broad Street in Claremont on June 15 from 9-11 AM, followed by a short service there.  Burial will follow at St. Mary Cemetery. A luncheon reception will be held after the service.

Marcie will be greatly missed and forever remembered for her selfless love and devotion to her family.
