Marilyn J. Come, 91, died peacefully Thursday, October 26, 2023, at Cedar Hill in Windsor, Vermont with her family by her side.

Marilyn was born December 22, 1931, in Manchester, NH to Edwin and Dorothy Brown.  Marilyn graduated from school in Alstead, NH.

Marilyn married Lyman Prouty, they later divorced. In 1988, she married James A. Come.  They lived together in Charlestown, NH for many years before moving to Cedar Hill Assisted Living in Windsor, VT last year.  They co-owned and operated M&J Shoe Store in Charlestown for a number of years before retiring. They also enjoyed traveling to Florida for many years before settling permanently back in Charlestown, NH.

Marilyn is survived by her husband, James A. Come, her son Mark Prouty & partner Wendy Allen, stepdaughter, Daryl Cady, and stepson, James (Dee) Come. Grandchildren and step grandchildren, Kelley (Danny) Rose, Ryan (Erin) Prouty, Jessica (Matthew) Burlew, Eric (Kristiyanna) Cady, Jacob (Erin) Vienne, Ben (Bonnie) Hastings, and Brandon Hastings. Great grandchildren and step great grandchildren Kaden, Evan, Riley, Nicholas, Isabel, and Luca, her brother Dick Savory, several nieces, nephews and many friends.

She was predeceased by her parents, her sister Shirley, and her first husband, Lyman Prouty.

There will be no calling hours.  A graveside service will be held Friday, November 3rd at 1PM at Pine Crest Cemetery, 14 Twin Maples Park, Charlestown, NH. A reception will be held immediately following the service at the Sunmer House, 122 Main St, Charlestown, NH.
