Mark Edmund Ankuda, 61, of Sunapee, NH passed away on November 12, 2024, at home with his wife and son. He was born in Springfield, VT on January 4, 1963, the son of Mary Ellen (Mahoney) and Caral P. Ankuda.

Mark graduated from Springfield High School in 1981 where he also studied the trades which made him a lifelong tinkerer. He was retired after decades at APC, Comcast, and HCRS of Vermont.

Mark spent his early life in Vermont and New Hampshire. He spent some time in California and later moved back to Vermont. For the last several years he lived in Sunapee, New Hampshire.

Mark's pastimes were hunting, fishing, and bird watching (even named them all). He always loved woodworking and thrived at solving problems. Mark touched the lives of everyone around him, especially his dogs he loved so much.

Mark is survived by his son Brandon (Bud) Ankuda (Hannah), his beloved wife Hope A. Martinelli-Ankuda, her children, Chantelle (Andrew) Brackett, Katie Blake (Bob), Dustin (Desiree) Martinelli, and their six children, his brothers, Pat (Debbie) Ankuda Springfield, VT, Paul J. Ankuda Boston, MA, James A. (Gemma) Ankuda Maple Shade, NJ, and numerous nieces and nephews. Mark was predeceased by his parents Mary Ellen and Caral Peter, and partners Lynn Jackson Newell and Alex Ankuda.

Visiting hours will be held at Stringer Funeral Home, 146 Broad Street in Claremont on Saturday, November 16th from 2-4 PM.
